Mother Cuppa groups are about a warm welcome and a safe space for conversation, questions and reassurance.
I have held postnatal groups for several years – with online groups running during the pandemic. I love running postnatal groups and mine are both informal and practical, where you can chat, gain support and ask specific questions. It’s also a place where I can offer reassurance and support and answer your questions as you adapt, adjust and meet the needs of your baby.
There are a range of options for you:
- Mondays 10-11am: an online group for parents everywhere with babies & toddlers
- Wednesdays 1-3pm: a small group for parents with bumps & new babies in North Shields
- Friday 9.30-11am: a cafe session for parents with bumps & babies in Whitley Bay
- Friday 11am-12: walk & talk for parents with bumps, babies & toddlers in Whitley Bay

With an experienced practitioner, we can talk about a range of issues…
your pregnancy & birth | recovery from birth | sleep & exhaustion | feeding | growth spurts | what’s normal & what to expect | being a mum | loss of identity | feeling isolated | relationship changes | low mood & anxiety | how tough it can be | how bloody brilliant it can be | how amazing you are!
“It’s an oasis of calm to chat, offload and get a bit of a boost.”
“This has been a godsend – it has made such a difference.”
You will benefit from:
*a calm, knowledgeable approach
*working with an experienced practitioner
*ongoing information, support and reassurance
Having worked with parents since 2002 and, as a practitioner with professional training and experience, I am trusted to provide a balance of reliable knowledge, non-judgemental support and much needed reassurance.
My approach is to listen, to provide an experienced perspective, an opportunity to ask questions and to help you find what works for you and for your family.
Based in North Shields, I regularly work with parents from Newcastle, Northumberland, Gateshead and across Tyneside. And with my online sessions, I work with parents across the country and in Europe.
I have run Mother Cuppa sessions for several years – they have always provided community and conversation as well as ongoing support and reassurance when it is needed.
