Weaning Workshop – Wow Centre

Taking the stress out of introducing solid food.

This weaning course has been designed to take the stress out of introducing solid food. Weaning can be a time of confusion and conflicting information so this gives you straightforward information, tips and ideas.

It is ideal for parents and grandparents with a baby from about 3-4 months old, in preparation for weaning, to about 9-10 months old, if you are in need a bit of ideas and a confidence boost.

Based on research and experience, this workshop gives you a range of information and ideas so you feel able to do what works for you and your baby.

The weaning workshop looks at:

  • getting started
  • how you can do it – purees, mush and baby-led, plus a combination of methods
  • food and meal ideas
  • what can help and what you can expect
  • the practical stuff – equipment, mess and keeping it safe

The workshop takes place at The Wow Centre in Longbenton and you can also access and download the weaning guide and worksheets to read and use in your own time.

Weaning sessions will take place on:

March 28th | May  9th | June 6 | July 4 | September 12 | October 3 | November 7 | December 5

“It was a really informative session and weaning is much more straightforward than I thought it would be.”

“This is great – everyone with a baby should come along to this session. I was really stressing about getting it right and I feel much happier now.”

An experienced specialist in pregnancy, birth & early parenting, I have worked with parents since 2002. I am based in the North East so I regularly work with parents from Newcastle, Northumberland, Gateshead and across North Tyneside. Face-to-face sessions will continue with North East parents but digital courses and online sessions means I can work with parents everywhere.
