The main aim of my birth debrief service is to provide you with the opportunity to talk through the birth of your baby. It could be that your labour and birth was not what you expected or it could have left you feeling upset – a birth debrief session will enable you to ask questions, talk it through and make better sense of what happened.
The benefits…
You can talk your labour and birth through with an experienced birth practitioner, who understands the complexities of birth
Being able to share openly in a private session, to get it all out, can be very therapeutic – it can feel like a release to talk it through rather than holding it all in.
This can be useful for any parent – it doesn’t matter how long ago a baby was born – and it can be a beneficial service for both parents to use, together or separately.
About me…
I am an experienced antenatal teacher and postnatal group leader and I have worked with parents since 2002. I have attended births as a doula, I have had three children and three very different birth experiences and I talk to my postnatal groups about the birth of their baby. I know how different labour and birth can be for everyone and I know how disappointing it can be as well as upsetting for some parents.
Due to my training, experience and desire to provide an effective birth debrief service, my sessions are confidential and supportive.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
