The main aim of my weaning workshop is to provide you with straight-forward information to take the stress out of introducing solid food.
I have run this session monthly for a number of years now and no two sessions are the same – every parent has their own questions and concerns, as well as their own relationship with food.
My sessions are based on latest research as well as the individual needs of parents and their babies. I don’t talk about shoulds or have-tos – it is about the range of evidence and finding what works for you.
And because every baby is different – some love food, while others take longer to enjoy this next step – we will talk through different ideas for meals and snacks, as well as being led by your baby.
The benefits…
I am trained to run postnatal weaning classes so the sessions provide an opportunity for your input so you can ask questions and tailor the information to your needs.
I have relaxed attitude towards weaning – finding what works and going at your baby’s pace often works well.
I am able to run small groups – this means that sessions are informal and welcoming and that you can ask all the questions you need.
You will receive resources to use at home as well as on-going support as you need it.
I present the range of evidence and encourage you to find what works for you and your baby.
About me…
I am a specialist in early parenting and I have provided postnatal groups since 2008.
My work with parents is about providing a balance of good information, support and reassurance.
My training and experience also means I am able to provide effective postnatal sessions by having the time to listen, respond and help develop personalised plans and coping strategies.
I am also a mum of three.
I run sessions from my base in North Shields and all of my sessions are attended by parents from across Newcastle, Tyneside and Northumberland.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
