How do you know what’s good information?

With birth and babies, if you read something that promises certainty or quick fixes – it’s probably not reliable information.

Birth and babies are unpredictable, unique, and instinctive, so it is important to find what works for you rather than thinking that there’s one solution. Because there isn’t.

Gather information so you know how birth and babies work and then focus on what you might need to manage the challenges.

With birth, it’s about saying what you need, doing what feels right for you, asking questions, and being at the centre of your care.

With babies, it’s about ongoing information, support, and reassurance because there are no quick fixes, and some days are tougher than you ever imagined.

Conversations, being listened to, and having a sense of community can make a huge difference to your confidence, knowledge, and wellbeing.

As an experienced practitioner, I am not just throwing information at you – my job is to help you to use the information and to personalise your plans and coping strategies so you have realistic expectations and so you can focus on what works for you and your family.

With 1:1 sessions, Mother Cuppa, and an online community, my practice is here for you during pregnancy, for birth, and the first year with your baby.

I am an antenatal & postnatal specialist, working with parents for over 20 years. Based in the Newcastle, I work with parents everywhere.

With the digital antenatal course you will have a complete guide to birth and the first three months with your baby. There are resources to help you personalise the information and you can also include 1:1 sessions to talk through your baby preparation, to focus on different postnatal issues and to ask questions.

There’s also a range of baby guides, with 1:1 sessions, to focus on baby sleep and weaning.

With 1:1 sessions I am on hand for you during life with your baby – from those early days and weeks and throughout the first year. With daytime, evening and weekend appointments, we can work around your schedule.

By becoming a member of Birth & Baby Conversations, you can also read exclusive content, ask questions, chat online, access a range of birth and baby guides and be part of an online space for ongoing support and reassurance as a parent.

You can also use the free How To Prepare For Birth & Baby toolkit – to help you think about what is useful as you prepare for birth and your new baby.
