Having worked with parents since 2002, I have specialised in 1:1 consultations since 2015. It makes such a difference to provide individual sessions.
Antenatal and postnatal consultations focus on your individual need for information, practical tools and confidence. Tailored to you, they provide a foundation of robust knowledge and skills you can rely on.
You can ask questions and gather the knowledge, support and reassurance you need for your pregnancy, for your birth, for your baby and for you as a parent.
Your consultations can focus on:
- birth & baby preparation
- birth debrief
- new babies & new parents
- baby sleep support
- postnatal issues & being a parent
- for you, the person behind the parent – going beyond the postnatal period
How consultations work
Your appointment will be professional, confidential, welcoming and informal so you can learn, share and ask questions.
Sessions can be by video-call as well as in-person if you are in the Newcastle & Tyneside area.
You will also receive relevant session notes, resources and follow-up emails.
Arranging your sessions
You can book an individual 90 minute session or a package of three 60-90 minute sessions.
I am able to offer morning, afternoon, evening and weekend appointments.

Here’s why I focus on consultations with parents
Pregnancy, birth and being a parent are very personal so it felt important to provide personalised sessions that are tailored to each parent. Individual sessions are more effective because you have the time to properly focus and ask questions.
With a calm, knowledgeable approach, my role is to provide information – based on evidence and experience – with ongoing support and reassurance.
I am here to boost your confidence, to provide an experienced perspective and to help you develop effective coping strategies for you, your birth and your family.
