Postnatal Appointments

Postnatal sessions aim to help you manage the different challenges during the first year with your baby.

Babies are always developing, growing and changing and, as a parent, you are always learning and adapting. Expectations and pressure to get it right can also be overwhelming, so talking it through makes a difference.

With postnatal appointments, you can talk through:

  • the early days and weeks with your new baby
  • baby sleep and being tired
  • taking the stress out of weaning
  • going back to work after maternity leave
  • being a mum – guilt, parenting challenges, juggling, loss of identity
  • feeling overwhelmed
  • meeting the needs of more than one child
  • managing stress & anxiety
  • any issues that are on your mind

“Thank you for listening and for caring – it has made a huge difference to have somebody to talk to.”

“I had an amazing 1:1 with Janine, I felt like a weight had been lifted!”

“We can’t thank you enough for talking to us during those early days when I felt completely overwhelmed.”

Arranging your postnatal appointments

Face-to-face sessions are ideal for parents across Newcastle & Tyneside. With video sessions, I work with parents and families everywhere.

  • You can book an individual 90-minute session (£65)
  • or you can arrange for three sessions to take place for ongoing support and reassurance (£150)

To arrange your first session, you can schedule your appointment here and payment details will follow.

As an experienced postnatal practitioner I know where the challenges can be: I hear the conversations and the comments about both the parenting and personal challenges that can be part of life with a baby. These postnatal sessions are about having the time to talk it all through, to offload, to understand what’s going on, to look at potential strategies and to benefit from consistent support and reassurance.

Having a baby can sometimes be isolating and demanding. At times, it can feel relentless. My role is to listen, reassure, boost and support so you don’t feel like you are alone.
