Planning for rest is important for mums, whether in pregnancy and the baby days or with older children and teenagers. As a birth doula I tried not to make assumptions about a woman's needs in labour. The importance of safe spaces for parents... It's been a week of easing myself back into work, focusing on thinking, planning, developing ideas and admin rather than meetings and doing. A bit of quiet hibernation to hide from the weather and to get my head ready for full days and juggling projects. Knowledge, confidence and support for parents everywhere. At the beginning of 2025, I let go of what was no longer working and what I didn't have the energy for, to focus on using my experience, knowledge and skills in a different way.
