What do you think you are doing well as a mum?

The Being Mum project is about capturing the reality of life for mums after pregnancy, birth and with a baby.

Giving my children the space to process and regulate their emotions

Being patient, giving lots of love, creating a safe and cosy home

Doing what my children need to feel loved

Showing love and advocating for my son

Continuing with breastfeeding despite comments from other people

My daughter is happy and thriving, even though I don’t always feel like I am getting it right

I make my daughter happy and I keep her healthy

Keeping my boys safe and happy

Making my children feel loved

Being tuned into the needs of my son, allowing him to grow and explore

I actually have no idea but my son is lovely and happy

Being there for my children, listening to them

Connecting with my children, being an attached parent

Showing up every day despite the challenges

Providing experiences for my children, being a gentle parent

Communicating well with my partner

Building boundaries to spend more quality time with my children

Giving my child what he needs

Creating a calm, happy safe space at home for my family

Being Mum is about giving you a voice and a place to read other women’s experiences to normalise motherhood and to ease the isolation.

It’s also about starting a conversation about motherhood, about how individual it is and the impact it can have.

Please do read, share and take part.

With consultationsdigital guides and courses, my practice is here for you every step of the way. You can also become a member for exclusive content, discussion and a place to ask questions.

North East Birth & Baby is where you can read about pregnancy, birth and early parenting.
